Water Wash Paint Booth

GFS’ EnviroTect Water Wash Spray Booth performs efficiently with even the most difficult coating materials. Straight-line, non-turbulent airflow through the spray curtain improves paint particle capture and cleaning action, while reducing energy consumption.

Features

Construction

GFS EnviroTect Water Wash Spray Booths are constructed with single-skin, 18-gauge, G-90 galvanized steel.

Pre-punched booth panels and nut-and-bolt assembly takes the guesswork out of installing a paint booth, and provides more structural integrity.

Lighting

GFS Water Wash Paint Booths feature integrated four-tube, inside-access light fixtures. All GFS light fixtures are ETL and ETL-C listed and come complete with energy-efficient LED lamps.

Fans & Motors

GFS EnviroTect Water Wash Paint Booths include a tube axial exhaust fan(s) and a three-phase, TEFC, dual-voltage motor(s) with variable pitch pulley.

Washer Assembly

The EnviroTect Water Wash Paint Booth features a welded washer assembly, constructed of 12- and 14-gauge galvanized steel.

Air & Liquid Nozzles

Air and liquid nozzles are spaced according to production and air volume requirements. Nozzles are made of 326 stainless steel and feature 150 GPM and 4 psi.

Easy Maintenance

Interior surfaces are wetted to eliminate paint overspray buildup, which reduces booth cleaning and captures the paint in the eliminator for removal.
How It Works
Air enters the booth through the built-in trough, which provides an initial wetting action on the paint particles.
Air flows through a restricted flow passage in the booth to form a column of straight-line, non-turbulent airflow.
With accelerating velocity, air moves through one or more continuous solid curtains of washing liquid, where contaminant particles in the air are contacted and wetted by the liquid.
The resulting commingled air and liquid is then discharged into an eliminator chamber. This reduces the air velocity and allows the wetted contaminants to drop out of the air stream.

Why Water Wash?

GFS’ Water Wash Spray Booths provide an extremely efficient means for removing paint particles from the exhausted air, and are the most acceptable type of spray booth for all health, fire and building codes. Water wash spray booths are ideal when using large quantities of coatings, usually more than five gallons per day per square foot of face area.
