As another year comes to a close, we reflect on the ways in which Global Finishing Solutions (GFS) gave back to the community. Our employees continue to prioritize charitable efforts in their busy schedules, and GFS also contributes to many local causes and organizations.
Through our internal Charitable Donations Committee, GFS distributes educational scholarships, monetary donations and custom-made fire rings for various community events, fundraisers, silent auctions and more. GFS is proud to support the communities surrounding Osseo, Wisconsin, and the people who live in them through these channels.
Larger charitable causes that GFS supported in 2021 include:
Helicopter Golf Ball Drop Fundraiser: In partnership with the Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF) and famed custom car builder Ringbrothers, GFS helped raise more than $13,000. The funds went to four collision repair education programs in Wisconsin, for purchasing tools, equipment and supplies that some of these programs cannot afford.
Eau Claire North High School and Osseo-Fairchild High School: GFS partnered with two local high schools for new paint booths, giving students a safe, efficient environment for hands-on instruction.
Osseo Veterans Memorial Park: GFS helped with the cost of a new park at the Cabin in the Pines.
Osseo-Fairchild Rod and Gun Club: GFS assisted with the cost of building a new platform for shooting events.
Osseo Junior Baseball and Softball Leagues: GFS funded the replacement of the infields on two fields.
Osseo-Fairchild High School Softball: GFS supplied new equipment for the team.
Osseo Police Department: GFS helped with the cost of their K9 unit that services Osseo and surrounding communities.
Osseo Fire Department: GFS assisted with the department’s operating costs.
Trempealeau County Robotics: GFS helped with the operating cost of their program.
American Red Cross: GFS sponsored a local “hero” who was recognized for performing a good deed and providing exceptional community service.
